On Thursday June 7th we had our usual competition night but had a photographer present- photos courtesy of Paul Nicolson. Class winners were as follows- Under 6 month s Gill Aynsley's 'Nutty' Puppy Christina Huggan's 'Chester' 1 to 2 years Sheila Muckle's 'Daisymae' 3 to 4 years Pam Cox's 'Maddy' 5 to 6 years Pam Cox's 'Dino' 7 years and over Teresa Collins' Papillon (name to be added ) Best in Match 'Maddy'
Our Limited Show on 24th March went well. Judge was Jen Davies (Seevad) who gave BIS to Pam Cox's GSP Cushatlaw Madame Maxine RBIS was Mr Tutty's Shiba Inu Sapporo I'm Roxy. Best Veteran was Rene Glasper's Penwyn Indiana at Denetop and Best Puppy was Ivy Potts' Whippet Courthill Chase The Blues from Klondyke. News from Helen and Graham Fremlin Cloud took her first RBCC at a Championship Breed show from the Junior Class – Mummy Tempest won Limit Bitch, Grandma Panda won Veteran Bitch and even Grandad Storm took a 3rd in Open Dog – so you could say it was a bit of a family affair. She also won her Puppy class at Crufts so she has had a good start to the year so far Tempest and Storm were also placed at Crufts – Tempest with a 3rd and Storm with a Highly Commended Very very well done to Dave and Sandra Lambert
Denzil, (Rottivana the Enigma at
Seittor) won the Reserve Challenge Certificate, Best Puppy in Breed and
3rd in the puppy group at Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales
Championship Show and Won Best Puppy Dog at W.E.L.K.S. Championship
Show.
Dexter won Best Dog at the Midland Rottweiler Club

George and Barbara Linton went RBIS at Galashiels Limited Show on 2n April with Kinmont Willie of Merrywinds- the very lovable Rory. Judge was Mr Schofield.

Avril Knox won a lovely first in Junior at Tay Valley Gundog and young Saffy's dad was Best of Breed. Spice did well again for Gilian Aynsley at Border Union Championship Show where she went first in Puppy Bitch and then Best Puppy. Keep up the good work Gill. My own Canonsett Francesca was second in Junior Bitch at Border Union in English Setters. Please note Cheviot Canine is having a members competition night once a month in the hall at Powburn at 7.30. Points are awarded each month and the most points gets a prize at Christmas. Next competition in July 14th and then August 11th. Friendly competition and good practice. All welcome. Membership is £1 and you can join on the night. Liz Third's whippet dog, Bruntsfield Playaway JW ShCM, won CC and res BiS at the golden jubilee Ch show of the Northern Counties Whippet Club in April. The following week he won Best of breed, best in group and res BIS at Sunderland Open Show Well done guys.
Gillian Aynsley is having continued success with her young Viszla -Spice. At Selkirk Show in early April she won her class, then BOB, then both the Gundog Puppy Group and the Gundog Group. She went Best Puppy in Show and was Best Opposite Sex. Not bad going for seven months. Gillian's Weimaraner - Ana was placed third in a large class at the same show so it was a good day out all round. Following up her BOB at Crufts little Tempest Fremlin (Naduska Tempest at Icewinds) continued her winning ways with the Reserve Bitch CC from Limit at The Northern Samoyed Society Championship Show Sat 26th March.

Counties Gundog Show with her Hungarian Vizsla puppy (Sybaris Allspice)- 6
months and one day going Best Puppy in Breed after winning the junior
class with her litter brother second, then taking Best of Breed , was
shortlisted for Best in Show and then awarded Best Puppy in Show She also
took First in AV Minor Puppy Bitch. Wow Well Done!!!
Avril followed her result below with Best Puppy in Breed at Border Counties Gundog Show and although she was beaten by another of our puppies (Sybaris ) Was really pleased to see yong Saffy's dad Sorbus Shines Again go BEST IN SHOW for James Frame.
Avril Knox was thrilled to go to Northern Dog Club and take 1st in Open and BOB with her new puppy just 6 months old. She then went 4th in the Puppy Group and was First in Any Variety Gundog Puppy.
